Papyrus Maxi

Roark’s Papyrus range of UAV’s are low cost, disposable air platforms that facilitate precision payload delivery. Built predominantly on IPX3 coated cardboard and foldable foam board, the Papyrus range is designed to be built in the field from a small flat pack base.

The Papyrus Maxi is a flat-pack UAS with an airframe built from disposable foam board. The avionics, cameras and motor modules are also low cost but can be recovered and re-used where necessary.

The Papyrus Maxi has a number of radio solutions to ensure consistent coverage and communications even in the most challenging of conditions.

The Payprus Mini has a number of deployment options, these are:

Set and Forget

Upload the destination directly in to the avionics system via direct computer link or remote SSH. The Papyrus Mini will autonomously transit to the target destination and deliver the payload with precise accuracy. The Papyrus can either land close to the payload delivery location for recovery, return to base or simply be discarded.

FPV

FPV is a manual operator mode using the technology built for our CIcada commercial drones. The controller uses our goggle and gimbal system for full control and precision payload delivery.

Loitering

Under loitering mode, Papyrus can autonomously operate over a designated area and through relay back to our Plexus servers and in conjunction with captured imagery, make autonomous payload delivery decisions.
