The Roark Cicada X is a concept autonomous UAV due for production in Q3 of 2025. Featuring a unique vertical air-frame to enable deployment from 40mm launchers as well as hand, the Roark Cicada X has numerous interchangeable payloads for specific mission sets. Payloads include: ISR, Hyperspectral Imaging, WAMI, Electronic Warfare, Kinetic Payloads (including our Air Burst Munitions for C-UAS) and laser targeting.
With a length of just 122mm with up to 40mm payload (max take-off weight of 3Kg) the Cicada X has a 20 mile range and 90 minute flight time. The stacked rotor design enables vastly improved carry weights over competitor models which increases the payload scope to wider munitions and supplies.
The Roark Cicada X uses pre-trained and real-time computer vision to operate autonomously of Rf or disrupted communication channels with each Cicada pre-programmed to conduct specific operation briefs prior to launch. These operational briefs can include C-UAS, kinetic operations, EW or 360 degree imaging to a specific range. They can also be controlled manually using our FPV equipment
The on-board STM32N6 with ARM M55 Core processes our Plexus Intelligential Warfare at the edge allowing the Cicada to make autonomous decision making across any operational brief as well as monitoring battery life for RTH and processing computer vision input-output. Combining with our smart ABM’s enables kinetic C-UAS deployments at range prior to a UAS attack becoming a threat to life. Cicada X + Plexus creates the shortest OODA loop in theater.
At a suggested price point of $340 (minus payload) the Cicada offers functionality in both disposable and reusable operations.
