About Gjallar

Project Gjallar will see Roark Aerospace deploy our custom built unmanned aircraft across 100 countries globally, leveraging our C-Band network and BVLOS waivers.

The aim of Project Gjallar is to facilitate the creation of a private Wide-Area Motion Imagery (WAMI) platform for access by public and private entities.

WAMI

WAMI utilizes high performance cameras and sensors in-built within our unmanned aircraft to provide real time ground truth video and imagery to users on the ground.

WAMI Functionality

The Gjallar WAMI functionality includes the ability for ground operators to tag and track vehicles and individuals on the ground, study patterns of life, identify nodes of activity, identify anomalous behaviours and use patterns and trends to identify unusual behaviours. The WAMI functionality is paired with a number of Rf based sensors and edge AI to create a full ground picture from the air.

The Gjallar WAMI can be integrated with additional ground based sensor networks for an even broader picture, this includes hyperspectral sensors, noise sensors (for identifying specifics such as raised human voices or firearms). Additional ground sensors can be used to alert the Gjallar system to potential issues and request immediate overhed deployment.

Gjallar AI

Gjallar AI is the processing of WAMI and Rf sensor information at the edge (on our UA's) to identify anomalies and anomalous behaviour in real-time or even prior to the behaviour commencing. Gjallar AI provides alert systems to ground users against specific trip wire conditions

DFR Pods

Our unmanned aircraft are purpose built to carry subset UA's that can act as a rapidly deployable DFR (drone as a first responder) providing critical intervention in seconds to events automatically detected by the Gjallar UA and WAMI protocol.
