Cymba Marlin Recon USV

Description

The Cymba USV from Roark are a collection of styrofoam based vessels for use in water based reconnaissance and one way effector missions.

The Cymba USV range consists of a pre-made, flat pack hull, 34 volt 2000 watt motor with propellor system delivering up to 19500 RPM and top speeds of 40km/h.

Navigation and Control

There are 3 main methods for controlling Cymba USV’s:

Planned Routes

Upload pre-planned end-co-ordinates in to the onboard navigation system via direct terminal access or via SSH remotely. The Cymba USV will follow the fastest route to the end GPS co-ordinates from where it can either be recovered (for reconnaissance) or set to destroy for one way effector missions.

FPV

Using the same software as with our UAV FPV “google and gimbal” controller but with the addition of a remote controlled speed controller and gear box, operators can control direction via FPV. FPV communication links are delivered via either SATCOM or Fibre Optic Spool.

Autonomous

The Cymba USV can patrol waters autonomously and take effective action decisions using a direct link to our remote Plexus servers via SATCOM (L-Band) or Fibre Optic link.

The Cymba Marlin Recon has the same dimensions as the 1WE however carries more advanced optical equipment including laser targeting solutions. The lower payload weight increases range to 50km and top speed to 42km/h.

Optics

As standard all Cymba USV’s carry a lightweight optical unit with DSLR, IR and HSI functionality. The Cymba Markin Recon carries the Roark Optic X unit.
