Host a Roark DDaaS Device
The backbone of our Drone Detection as a Service is in the density and geographical spread of our detection devices. To expand our coverage we are decentralizing the network and enabling anybody to host a device and receive compensation for doing so.
Hosting Options
Roark offer three methods of hosting:
- Free Device, you can receive the detection device for free from us and receive limited access to our DDaaS dashboard, this will allow you to view current drones operating in your immediate vicinity but their packet information will not be visible. If you want to apply for this option please fill out the form below.
2. Just Pay Shipping. Under this option you just pay for shipping of the device. In exchange you receive limited access to the DDaaS dashboard allowing you to view drones operating in your immediate vicinity however you will not be able to see the drone information. You will also receive a share of 3% of network revenues per month, paid in USDC. To take up this option please use the button below. Note you will not own the device, it will remain the property of Roark Aerospace.
3. Full Access. Under this option you will own the device. You will be able to access more functionality within the DDaaS dashboard as well as qualifying for a share of 20% of network revenue, paid monthly in USDC or fiat. To purchase please use one of the options below.
Hosting
The beauty of the Roark DDaaS device is that it can be installed in a stationary location, ideally outdoors but indoors acceptable and can also be used as a portable device so you can take it in your vehicle with you (although this does require ongoing connection to a WiFi or LTE Hotspot).
What It Does
The Roark DDaaS device performs two main functions that enable the identification and tracking of drones:
- Continually scans the operational frequency channels of drones. This is primarily 900MHz, 1.4GHz, 2.4GHz, 5.2GHz, 5.8GHz. In addition the device scans these channels 650-800MHz 47dBm(50W), 800-950MHz 47dBm(50W), 950-1100MHz 47dBm(50W) for FPV drones.
- Uses existing FM & 978-1090 channels as illuminator and receiver channels to identify drones operating “dark”. This is achieved by analyzing the micro-doppler shift.
This information allows us to draw down and decrypt emitted messaging packets from drones operating on the Rf frequencies. This information enables accurate location plotting as well as identifying the drone, user, its ID and a number of other data points. For drones operating “dark” we are able to identify the position, altitude and speed of the drone as well as using AI to identify the likely drone type and if it is carrying a payload. This information is then used to populate our DDaaS interface.
What You Need
Simply give the device power (standard mains), note the device is rechargeable and can be carried independently of an attached power unit. Then provide it with connectivity, it currently supports WiFi, PoE & LTE.
