The Roark Vortex is a medium footprint air cannon designed to provide highly effective c-uas strategies against fiber optic spooled drones, drones operating on Rf communication links as well as autonomous flight drones leveraging computer vision.
The Roark Vortex combines an autonomous (with manual over-ride) fire control unit with a capacitor discharge powered cannon, delivering air vortices over 400M. There is also the option to implement a propane torch as the fuel source in place of the capacitor discharge.
The Roark Vortex can me mounted on a flat-bed vehicle or stand-alone as a stationary or mobile device.
The Roark Vortex takes direct fire control feeds from our DDaaS data network and can be set to autonomous mode or used manually via an operator on site or via remote access.
The Roark Vortex delivers a strong concussive effect against drones sufficient to knock them from the air. For fiber optic spooled drones the travelling air vortice will create interferometric nise around the actual optical cable causing a total loss in communication link, resulting in the drone crashing or defaulting to a landing mode.
The propane version has a re-shot time of sub 3 seconds and the capacitor discharge variant sub 6 seconds. The air vortice is steerable via the cannon targeting system.
